  1. BACKGROUND AND ORIGIN

The business started in POTCHEFSTROOM during 1995 as a labour law firm where we focussed on both the employer and employee. All facets of the Labour Law were covered.

With the acceptance of the new Labour Relations Act in 1995, it was a new beginning in reality. Not only have we moved on from the old Labour Laws, but we were at the threshold of a total new era.

We then came to realize that there exists a general need in any workplace to comply with certain laws such as the Labour Relations Act 66 of 1995, the Basic Conditions of Employment Act 75 of 1995, the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993, various main agreements under bargaining councils and the ongoing amendments to these acts and agreements.

Legalspes then formed an entity together with Labour Lab that now provides for all corporate and legal needs and mandatory regulations, offering all services that an employer might need and thereby eliminating the risk of fines and costly legal matters in this regard.

Now, almost 22 years later, we have not only settled into the market place, but we have also learned and acquired all the tools to assist employers, new and start-up business owners, established and growing businesses, human resources and industrial relations  managers and general managers with all their legal needs.
